Struck by the Mint of Poland. In ancient Asian culture, dragons were mythical creatures that symbolized power, wealth and good fortune. It's believed that those born in the year of the dragon would enjoy a life of good fortune and wealth. The obverse features 2 coiled dragons that form the Figure 8 position. Along the edge, the inscription "Year of the Dragon" is topped off with ruby gemstone inserted in place of the letter O.
